The circuit board and all
lights are completed. Everything's lit, and looking good!
It was a trick to get the
white LEDs resistance value right. I wanted them brighter, but
my assortment of resistors didn't include a 15 ohm, which is their
minimum value (based on 8/01/01).
What I did have, though, was a few 47 ohm. Remembering that
resistors did something a little funny in electronics (share the
load), I put a cluster of three 47 ohm resistors together to make a
15. Put it in-line, and it works perfectly.
The odd port side
indicator was resolved as well. The one in question is the port
indicator on the bottom of the saucer section. I figured that
since the green LEDs had a different current requirement then the red
ones but they both used 100 ohm resistors and looked fine, then a 100
ohm on this one (just on a separate circuit path from both red and
green) should work like the others. It did - can't tell the
difference!
