I've had to consider where to put the power plug, and in doing so I found a bump on the bottom of my ship.

This seems to be the only indicator / running light on the entire ship that is intended to be there by the model manufacturers.  I wasn't sure if the bottom had a white indicator light, and in researching this I've confirmed that it does.

     Here's what I'm talking about:

This is a scan of one of the sides of the hull.  Closer to my hand is half of the secondary warp core hatch, and at the end is the primary warp core hatch.  Going from my hand up, you have the strip that is the phaser strip, above that is the primary warp core hatch, then the antimatter loading hatch, then the bump.  Above that is the secondary warp core hatch and then it moves on to the tail.

At right you see  a close up of the anti-matter loading port.  The bump is on the left, the little black dot. The fore of the ship is to the right of the port, and aft is to the left.

Here is a scan of the decal sheet, showing the bottom of the ship as a whole.  The bump can be seen as a black dot right in the middle of the bottom of the hull.  The wing pattern below it are the doors of a cargo bay.

Exactly what to do with this I wasn't sure.  I figure that I could put the circular plug for the power cord into the anti-matter bay, such that I remove the rounded part of the anti-matter port and affix the plug to it on the inside.  But the light on the bottom?  I wasn't sure what to do with that (should it blink?) until I saw the magazine cover on the right.  It clearly depicts a white light on the bottom, and while it's shining the white running lights on the fore of the saucer section are not flashing, though they have running lights in mind as the port and starboard lights are on.

Therefore, I will build the power socket into the anti-matter loading port (fitting, so to speak.. :) ) and build on an additional light fibre that will go straight to the non-flashing lights, also intended for the crew quarter windows and the upper hull designation light (8/18/01).
