     Hey!  Genuine progress over here..

The priming is complete, time to paint the windows, then mix the primary and secondary hull colors.

These pictures show the base primer that was applied, with detail on the saucer in the middle.

These show my painting area (the kitchen floor - enamel paint and guests don't mix! :) ), and the model drying beneath its case.  I did this to ensure no dust or other material settles on the drying paint, and I rotate the ship once per day to ensure it dries properly (the primer's been drying for three days).

The ship was primed in the base primer first (top most pictures) and then flat, non-buffing silver (bottom series).  I was pleasantly surprised with how well silver primed.

The next step is to paint the windows, then the primary and secondary hull colors.  I intend to paint the recessed window areas flat black with multiple layers so as to minimize light leakage, then apply the primary hull color so as to make the shading on the windows subtle.

     Reference work I did a year ago ( ! ) regarding primary hull color - 8/9/01.
