I’m pretty excited about this.  This website is hosted by Cloudflare, they were chosen because they have a track record for supporting freedom of speech and an open Internet.  On April 1st they released a new DNS service that continues to support just that.

Dynamic Name Services are what converts “www.microsoft.com” to an IP address of an actual web-providing service on the other end.  Even if you encrypt everything – and even if you use a VPN – your DNS requests can be used to keep a list of absolutely everywhere you go on the Internet.  There are a few anonymous DNS providers out there, but they’re slow and you have to take their word for it – Cloudflare actually volunteered to get audited to ensure they adhere to the privacy standards they say they’re adhering to, which is otherwise unheard of.

To use their service, set your DNS provider to 1.1.1.1 or 1.0.0.1 (primary/secondary, respectively) – that’s it, you’re done.

Hats off to Cloudflare for work well done.
